 Mast Photography (Elevated) - By Aerial Hotshots

Aerial Hotshots portable mast photography system, sometimes called pole photography or polecam, is designed to capture an elevated viewpoint without the use of an aircaft or helicopter. Mast images are generally not obscured by walls, fences, or shrubbery.

Our Photography Masts are fitted with high resolution digital SLR cameras, wide angle lenses and a remote controlled pan/tilt head. The images are previewed and shot via remote software by tethering the camera to our laptop below.

Depending on the assignment, we have a number of Mast Photography options and services available. Some are more labour intensive and therefore cost extra. Our Mast Photography Unit is our most versatile and cost effective option.

We offer standard image capture (generally 6 images) or we can shoot a complete 360 tour using our pan/ tilt power head and stitch your images together with special software to provide a Mast 360 tour. (see below)

Our Mast systems are ideal for;

  • Sales,
  • Marketing,
  • Recording Construction Progress,
  • Capturing Proposed Views,

Mast Photography System Options

1. Mast Photography Unit - Mast System (50ft)

An 'A' frame system carries the Mast horizontally on a trailer and allows us to pivot the Mast into the vertical position for image capture.

Benefits of our Mast Photography Unit include;

  • 1. It is our most versatile option,
  • 2. Is Pneumatic Launched,
  • 3. Has upper and lower adjusters for horizontal and vertical allignment of the Mast,
  • 4. Is a larger diameter and therefore more rigid Mast
  • 5. Elevates to 50 feet or 15 metres.

On average most assignments are completed at 12 metres but when required when can elevate to 15 metres.
